Deadline: Oct. 1 at midnight. 

Eligibility: Queen’s students from any year and faculty

Length Requirements: For the short story, your work must be 600-2000 words. For the poem, your work can be a maximum of 600 words with no minimum requirement.

Submission guidelines: Email your story or poem as a Word document to journal_ae@ams.queensu.ca. The subject line of your email should include your name and clarify whether your work is a short story or poem. Do not include your name in the word document. Each entry will be read anonymously. 

Prize: The winners will read a segment of their story and poem on an episode of our podcast—airing on Oct. 8, and be published on The Queen’s Journal website.
