The oddities of this NFL season have now extended into a second week—upsets have continued, and star players have struggled. After an unexpected win last week, The Journal is back in action as the playoff race begins to tighten up and teams prepare for the last few weeks of a grueling regular season.

Josh Allen, Quarterback, Buffalo Bills          

Josh Allen had another signature performance last week against the New York Jets, throwing for two touchdowns and 366 yards. Allen seems to have recovered from his game against the Jacksonville Jaguars two weeks ago and should be able to handle the Indianapolis Colts—a team whose defence has been struggling—this time around.

James Conner, Running Back, Arizona Cardinals

James Conner has had four touchdowns in his past three games, including three against the San Francisco 49ers during week nine. Facing off against the Seattle Seahawks, a team with one of the worst defences in the league, he should continue to find the endzone.

Davante Adams, Wide Receiver, Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams had a quiet game last week as Aaron Rodgers returned from absence, but he’s primed to have a larger impact on the field this week as the Packers face off against the Vikings in a classic rivalry. Playing against an average defence, Adams is poised for a strong game.

Mark Andrews, Tight End, Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews had a touchdown last week against the Miami Dolphins and has been averaging well over 50 yards per game in the past month. Playing against the Chicago Bears, a team with a leaky defence, Andrews should remain a primary target for Lamar Jackson. 

Tennessee Titans Defence

The Titans play against the Houston Texans this week as Tennessee looks to continue its winning streak. The Texans’ offence is the worst in the league, recording the fewest yards and fewest points per game of any team so far this season.

Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson suffered a rare shutout loss last week against the Green Bay Packers—his first game back since an injury during a game against the Los Angeles Rams earlier in the season. Even before then, Wilson’s season has been marred by a poor offensive line, which should contribute to his struggles in what will likely be a tough outing against a prime Cardinals’ defence.

Ezekiel Elliot, Running Back, Dallas Cowboys

Elliot’s season has been quiet as Cowboys’ Quarterback Dak Prescott has directed a phenomenal ariel attack. Elliot has topped 50 yards just once in the past three games, and with him and the team facing off the Kansas City Chiefs, a squad who boasts an above-average run defence, Elliot should have another quiet game.

Allen Robinson, Wide Receiver, Chicago Bears        

Allen Robinson only has a single touchdown this season, which came during a week– two matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Robinson has topped 50 yards only twice in the past six weeks, and playing against the Baltimore Ravens, he should have another difficult contest.

TJ Hockenson, Tight End, Detroit Lions       

TJ Hockenson recorded zero catches last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers and hasn’t recorded a touchdown since week two. Playing a strong Cleveland Browns defence, Hockenson is unlikely to find his way into the endzone again this week.

New York Giants Defence

The New York Giants will play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football this week. While Brady and the rest of the Buccaneers’ offence struggled last week, they should be able to find their footing against a Giants’ defence ranked near the bottom of the league.
