Uncontested EngSoc election sees Danielle Rivard elected president

On Feb. 3 Engineering (EngSoc) voters elected Danielle Rivard, Sci ’23, President, Evan Wray, Sci ’22, Vice-President of operations, and Jane Cohen-Wallis, Sci ’24, Vice-President of Student Affairs (VPSA).

Adam Raco, Sci ’25, was elected the EngSoc Junior Senator for the 2022-23 term.

The candidates were inspired by the outgoing executives and wish to continue their work.

“I was really excited about this position, but it wasn’t until I talked to [Kaija Niska Edwards, outgoing VPSA] and we had a lengthy call and I got so much detail about what she’s done,” Cohen-Wallis said.

“It inspired me for what I want to do this next year,” she said.

All elected candidates told The Journal they are “looking forward” to their terms.
